This was the most interesting interview about Obama and/or Biden that I have ever heard.

You guys completely lost me when it came to the idea that Kamala Harris had the normal Vice President role. The comparison to Dan Quayle was correct, but they are the outliers. Pence was the conservative talk show host lending credibility and assurance to Trump who raked havoc on republican policies like free trade and entitlements. Biden and GHWB were the swampy counterweights to the political outsiders running to remake the party. Cheney was the connection to carrying the legacy of the Reagan and GHWB presidencies. Al Gore was the key spokesman for NAFTA to counter the labor unions on Clinton’s reset.

I remember thinking Biden was a joke candidate in 2008 - as long as I'd been aware of him he seemed both pompous and insecure: incapable of being concise or shutting up, always bragging about his intelligence because he knew that people looked down on him.

I don't think I was exactly wrong back then. Biden is a better politician and a more serious person today than he was fifteen years ago.

It’s a bit wild that a reporter from the Architectural Digest got to see the Obama private residence but Biden never did.

Favourite part was the anecdote about Obama telling Biden to go out there and “Be President” like a political action figure.
